Activision's Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg gave us some Insight on Destiny‘s beta and on the changes we can expect from here to release in a financial conference call with the company. Hirshberg mentioned that the beta was very successful “both creatively and technologically, the biggest beta for this generation of consoles and the biggest beta ever for a new IP.” Everything was as expected, and the servers held up fine.
Bungie mentioned that the feedback was mostly positive, and they have picked up on minor issues that they will tweak for official release. Hirshberg mentioned that because of this, we shouldn't expect any major changes for the game when it releases and only tweaks will be mode.

"But I would describe this as tweaks and not major changes, as we saw the fundamentals of the game to be very strong. And the good news is because we got 4.6 million players into the beta we were able to test the back-end in scale and it performed really well and stably."
"We think we’re ready for a great launch with a great partner in Bungie."
