Yes ,if you create a new PSN ID you will be able to resume your online gt6 gameplay. You will, however, not be able to use that game save on it unless you resign it to the new PSN name via a CFW ps3 and GT6HE.

Thanks for your help, not too bothered about losing my save because its just full of hybrid experiments that are of no use.
