(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Recently we got the good news that the save has been decrypted by Red-Eye. This has caused some mixed responses and concerns that I personally think are unfounded. I wanted to make it clear what I think of all this and give a place to rant if you like rather than hijacking the other threads.

To begin with I think it is great that OFW users will be able to hybrid cars. As I stated in the beginning I was not going to make a save editor was not because I could not or that I did not want to see one but because other people were already working on it. Any one that knows me even a little bit knows I hate people that take other peoples work and copy it. I also don`t like to do something if I know someone else is working on it. When Red-Eye told me he had decrypted it I offered my help if he ever needs it in making the save editor, I am sure he is more than capable of doing it without the help but the offer is there.

As for the concerns about GT6 getting ruined... I did not play GT5 during the hybrid era so I can not compare but I do like seeing what others have done with my tool online, more hybrids will not bother me at all. I am looking forward to it. This game is not like a FPS where the only point of hacks are to help you win by cheating. Yes there are competitive lobbies but there is also a kick option as well as limits to PP and other things. I don`t care if someone makes a Fiat 500 that can keep up in a 650 PP room, the limits are there for that reason. The tools to keep 50,000 HP cars out of your lobby are already there.

As for the concerns of the CFW users. Relax guys! We have had our fun. When an OFW user gets banned they will be able to fix it themselves just like we do. If they bring a hybrid into your lobby that you don`t like do the same thing you would do to a CFW user that does the same thing.

And most importantly! If PDI patches hybriding completely like they did in GT5 it will only affect OFW users. You tend to forget that a CWF PS3 is completely open and EBOOTs can be modified. Any patch PDI adds can also be removed for CFW users and hybriding will just go back to CFW or non updated users only. So chill out FFS.

Finally person that understand OFW hybrids and it isn't selfish because everyone makes mastakes exacly like I already saw bunch of CFW guys on cruise rooms using 2000+hp even more with redbull sound etc... Gives us chance because every 1 makes mastakes .

I agree well said and I believe the main concern is about stupid amount of hp do not put a hp option in the new hybrid builder gt6 already have a lot of fast cars such as the ffx, veyron, pagani even though there might be possibilities to edit in brut force but that's a lot harder to most users

to be honest i dont feel the need to make hybrids, i can already win easly without hacking the car, if the editor will be released, i will only edit wheels or maybe delete all car parts to see the people reaction :troll:, but no engine-grip mods, at least only if the car CANT stay on the track

I think that, if a OFW hack tool will come out, I'll use it just to get hidden cars, suits and features (like tyres, tuning parts, ecc.).

I don't see what all the fuss is about, I've had a CFW ps3 since day one when you need a USB Jig, I've always welcomed things like save editors that let people with a OFW ps3 experience just a small sample of the mods we experience on a daily basis.

Just look at it this way there's probably around 1 in every 100,000 people with a ps3 that are actually on CFW, so having the more people working on hybrid cars means more amazing cars.
Yes there's gonna some douch that makes an insanely overpowered car but everything's like that in life.

So what if they patch it, it can be mostly likely un-patched for us CFW users again and it will be back to us having to again with mostly the OFW users to blame for making OPed cars.

In my honest opinion, the only use I would get out of a OFW Garage Editor is to change the chassis of a car (tire width too if it's even remotely possible, maybe it's just a CFW thing like wheel swaps.) Because all I've been mostly doing since the release of Gran Turismo 6 is taking pictures and doing videos.

I understand that the main concern and frustration of other users that if a hybrid tool is released, they will abuse it to do ridiculous amount of horsepower for their cars, ruining the online experience for another user.

But with GT6, we've got the option to kick users out of a lobby and it could help in moderating some of the chaos. Personally I don't do much racing online, only with a friend of mine when I need to make a video, but I mostly do them in Single Player.

I know that some users would like to use the tools for good, creating replicas of cars and some real world engine swaps (Example a LS1 on a Mazda Rx-7 or RB26DETT on a Silvia S15) and I find that to be very interesting.

In the meantime, I'll just do the same thing I've been doing for a while now, lurking in the "Hybrid Picture Thread" and admiring some of the creations you guys post. Regardless if an OFW Garage Editor is released.

I understand and agree with most everybody. I just see a similar crippler patch to GT5 will come out sooner the more hybrids go online. If no hybrids go online, no patch. I think PD crippled hybrids in GT5, it was more than a simple patch blocking them, it was nasty.

Its probably already set to freeze up at 2.11

I think both OFW & CFW should keep it offline, just my opinion, I can see exactly why most will want OFW save editors, I know my opinion is upsetting to them, it is what it is, everybody knows what my opinion is.
