It didn't get patched. They've always had that countdown timer there. You can obviously make it past it before it hits zero if you are running.

The easiest way to run across the bars to the orange tarp is to sprint and constantly tap X. I guarantee it will work after a few tries if you do that, trust me. It's really glitchy and you don't jump at all but rather glide straight across.
