This has already been disproved on the Reddit, and the current theory is that it's on a (said to be 10 minute) timer.

Edit: I didn't realize that there was next to no evidence to support the timer method... The video in the thread is legit XD

Edit 2: Have done this now several times, definitely the strategy to get the 5th chest

Here's the first thing I found on it, one of the top voted comments states that:

"This theory was debunked in the last thread" - I'll try to find that thread.

I'm skeptical and have more faith in the method you put up here, simply because I know 100% that my team has killed the Templar before the Enrage timer on multiple occasions, yet have never seen the chest spawn.

(first reply here might not tell the same story as that... it was late and I couldn't articulate properly xD my bad)

Edit: They claim it to be a 5 minute timer, not 8/10. That explains why i've never seen it, but then again, we've never tried cancelling every teleport so...
