Multiman will automatically use your ps3updat.pup when booting up a game so Eddie is right it auto spoofs to your FW version no matter what that's why game backups have the PS3_UPDATE folder :Tustin:

I do have a question.. Next time they do a update. can i just update the 1.06 with out deleting all the updates and just update it to the current files? I changed the name and then changed it back.. All i did is add a few zeros lol..

next time you mount the game in multiman, load the game, accept the update and when back to ps3 menuwith the 800 error you enter again in multiman and mount again and multiman will patch it! simple, no rename/delete/copy....needed!
