go on your ps3 when you are able to see the "sign in" logo,
go to your game tab then if you have a disk in your ps3,
press UP on the Dpad 2 times and then press X,
now you see all your ps3 savedata's,
copy them on to your USB by pressing TRIANGLE go to option COPY,
just copy to your USB when finished copying all your savedata's pull out your USB,
put your USB in to your PC then just copy the whole PS3 named folder to the folder you like.
now you have a backup with all your savedata's.
!!! IMPORTANT !!! : if you have multiple accounts you have to do it with each account before formatting!

What mod menu do you suggest I use? Preferably one I can use in online lobbies
