My first would be Gran Turismo 2.

I prefer using L2/R2 for shifting as well.

Gran Turismo 2, then moved on 4, then 5-6 and bought/did all the others at the same time.

Still need to find the 4 Prologue and GT HD to get them all.

GT1 I was at a buddies playing NFS Hot Pursuit with friends when my buddy breaks out Gran Turismo. I jumped on and the relationship began, it was known as the racing game you have to brake for corners. Nobody wanted to play with me, everybody was more into NFS with cops short cuts and handbrake drifting every corner.

I was at the Sony store playing the demo when GT2 came out I bought it but went to jail for 6 months a few days later. I swear I was reading R&T one of the things I thought of was playing GT2. It kept me from thinking about my girlfriend possibly fucking everybody in the city while I'm inside. That shit will make you go crazy. Got out and got into my Buzz.

Around GT3 things were going well for me and I was able to invest in my personal car more, I had been street racing for years & ended up getting busted but not losing my car. That and a near miss that could of killed a lot of people had me drop street racing and pick it up at the track. I was not playing GT3 all that much, however I had fallen in love with Complex String and spent most of my GT3 time there.

It was a seasonal thing for me in those days. Race all summer then GT all winter.

GT4 came out during this time and it was so good I was playing it all year round, I'd have track day threads for my track racing and tuning threads for GT4.

Between GT4 & GT5 my wife left with our kid but I get to pay for their new life. So I've lost my fun cars and had my life juggled in the air. Now GT is my racing fix all year.

Been struggling to get extra cash, just seems I always barely make enough to get by. I am pushing to building the next project, I'll get my shit figured out one day or win the fucking lottery and I'll be at the track all summer again.

I started with GT 2! man, still remember the day in wich I played it for the first time with my cousin than I played the third, skipped gt4 and played the fifth.

My first Gran Turismo was the one for the PSP.

Yeah I know but in that period I hadn't the possibility to buy it. I was about 8 years old and despite working so hard at school to get it my father didn't buy it :cry:

For me my love for the GT series started with GT2. I then moved onto GT3 the very day it came out, I kind of lost interest and then GT4 was released and it re-sparked my love for the series. I then went on to have GT5 Prologue, GT5 followed by GT6 to present. Can't wait for GT7 on PS4. Although I don't think we'll see it until 2017/2018 at the earliest.
