I think there's a possibility of the 1.1.1 update going live alongside this maintenance, which has been announced by DeeJ a few weeks back.

I believe there has been a mention in the patch notes, that Bungie will be potentially nerfing some of the weapons types to balance out their stats... ...Let's see how that goes.
