(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So today the pc requirements for fallout 4 were released.
I think the i7 on recommended is pretty steep as most people have slightly older i7's or older i5's.

Nice! Looks like I'm golden. But I'm still a little surprised about the recommend video cards. I was sorta expecting to see in GTX 980s in there, but then again they are still relatively new. The one thing I'm not looking forward to are all the potential issues with drivers.

What's so great about Fallout 4? (I never played the series) All I ever see is hype. I can't find valid reasons for all the attention it's getting, just like I couldn't find out why Mad Max was so overhyped?

I agree that Mad Max was overhyped, and I feel that is in part because of the movie series with Mel Gibson and a lot of the die hard Mad Max/Road Warrior fans. But I've always liked the Fallout franchise - and the Elder Scrolls franchise - because of the open-world action role playing game that it is. I'm not fond of RPGs because I never understood the allure around them, but Bethesda allows me to contradict myself in a way I never thought imaginable. Plus the mod support is there with GECK/Fallout 3 SDK etc. Which I hope Bethesda will release for Fallout 4.

For me, it essentially comes down to quest, open-world, and mods. Plus a lot of the weird bugs and glitches are fun if they aren't impeding.

To give you a basic idea the fallout series is one of the more popular recently from Bethesda. People who played the older ones loved the new 3D in Fallout 3. As well first time players loved 3 for it's story, as well as its characters. Then New Vegas came out and same thing happened lovers of 3 enjoyed it and people new to the series enjoyed it. Basically we have been waiting 5 years since release of New Vegas for a new more amazing game. This seems to be everything fans want. While they did do some things fan may not like overall fans look forward to the game. (sorry for being short on mobile)

I definitely know Bethesda. I loved Skyrim, lol. Thanks for the information. Never been a big fan of open-world concept. I prefer linear and story-based. But that's just me lol

Non linear games with no end game objective are bae, their games have sooo much replayability it is absurd.

I think my GTX 980 Ti will fair just fine to the topic of the thread, I also have a GTX 780 just sitting around doing nothing Sal
AMDs 14NM will slay this game when that architecture drops :wato:.
