Here is how you can get custom skins for Minecraft PS3 Edition.
(2 Methods
)
[CFW IS REQUIRED AND THIS ONLY WORKS ON NPUB31419 REGION]
(I didn't make this method but I rewrote it from this thread:
You must login or register to view this content.)
Things Required:
1) This
You must login or register to view this content. file (Contains everything you need)
2) Minecraft NPUB31419 Region (I tried on the BLUS version and it didn't work :/ )
3) Custom Skin(s) [PNG and 64 x 32]
4) Multiman /// FTP
Alright, let's get started

1) Download the ZIP file, open the "tools" folder, and open quickbms
2) Double click "minecraft pck unpacker"
3) Double click "james mods"
4) Double click the "skins" folder then click save
5) Download the skin(s) you want, I'm gonna use my skin for this tut (Make sure the skin is 64 x 32)
[HERES THE PART MOST PEOPLE GET CONFUSED AT]
For some reason, you can only have 44 skins, so that means for the skin you downloaded, replace one of the original skins (So if you downloaded a skin named "bob" the you will rename it to: "dlcskin00000000" - "dlcskin00000044", then replace the original skin.)
6) Once you downloaded and replaced the skins you want, open reimport
7) Double click "minecraft pck unpacker"
8 ) Double click "james mods"
9) Double click the "skins" folder then click save
[If you got an error like "file too large", then you obviously need a smaller file]
{You could rename "james mods" to any thing, for this tut I named it myskin
10) Go into your PS3's HDD (by FTP or Multiman)
11) Go to: dev_hdd0 -> folder called "game" (all lowercase) -> folder called "NPUB31419" -> folder called "USRDIR"
12) Now make a folder, make sure the name of the folder is "james mods" unless you renamed it (For this tut, I'm gonna name my folder myskin)
13) Place these two files in the folder you just made, the file you renamed ("myskin") and "key.bin.edat"
14) Copy the folder you made into USRDIR/DLC and USRDIR/CU/DLC
15) Now launch Minecraft and check out your skin
[This doesn't work on some skins, just play around with the skins and check which ones work]
[Some skins may appear black and white, I'll update the post once I find a fix]
{{{IF THAT METHOD DOESN'T WORK, TRY THIS}}}
1) Do steps 1-5
2) Instead of changing the name of the new skin file, open the new skin file in a photo editing program (I recommend paint.net) and open the original skin.
Original Skin:
You must login or register to view this content.
Custom Skin I want to add:
You must login or register to view this content.
3) Select this part of the custom skin:
You must login or register to view this content.
4) Copy and paste it on the original skin:
You must login or register to view this content.
5) Save and when you're done replacing the skins you want, do steps 6-15
[This should let you have any skin, comment if you have any problems]
