(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); why isn't anyone talking about modding this game? ever since 1.05, the threads about this game kinda died and I feel like there are mods for this game but nobody is saying anything. is it possible to still mod the 00.dat files? If i can have at least one cheat for online, it would be to have everyone always marked/esp.

The last time I was on, I couldn't get the game to run on System Software Mode.
Without being on System Software Mode it's not possible to attach TMAPI.(To my knowledge)
Unfortunately, TMAPI is what is commonly used to find the mods that you're accustomed to using.
Therefore, no TMAPI, no MODS.

I know the digital version of the game was playable in DEX mode when I first started playing. is it possible to just use that instead of the disk version?

Yeah, prior to 1.02/1.03 (Whatever it was) I had no problem attaching TMAPI. However, after the next update the game would crash when starting in system software mode, so I and a lot of others had to change to release mode which doesn't support the use of TMAPI(to my knowledge)

It has nothing to do with DEX per-se, but the actual TMAPI modding capabilities itself.
As far as I know this effects all versions, disk, digital, US, EU...
So I don't think there's a way around it.

Can't you use Ccapi instead since that seems to be the only option left to mod this game?

yeah! We have access to all the lua files on the game so we can pretty much do anything we want! Hell we game make a zombie game mode if we want.. i might consider studying lua to tweak this game a bit.. but alot of the code is not commented, making it hard to understand the logic.
