As Mass Effect 2 is considered to be a contender for game of the year on xbox it is not suprising that it was given a perfect review my the magazine GamesTM. It's predecessor was considered one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time which would also amount to this rating.
With the new Mass Effect communicating with the previous game, it adapts to what has previously happened so you could be playing a different way to your friends.
In the past only 8 other games have had the honour of this perfect 10/10 rating and they are as follows:
Metroid Prime
Burnout 3
Gears of War
God of War II
Bioshock
Grand Theft Auto IV
Fallout 3
Demon's Souls
Here is some details of the review:

+ One of the most memorable opening sequences ever.
+ Improved combat. It not only rivals dedicated 'cover-shooters', it actually betters them (aside from Gears 2 and Uncharted).
+ Brilliant dialogue interrupt system.
+ More refined inventory/equipment management. Improvements to weapons, armour etc (which carry across all party members) are carried out on the Normandy via 'research documents' that you buy or find. Quality of the research is dependant on the 'elements' that you find when scanning planets.
+ Less planets to explore, but much more varied and diverse. Some kick off quests that send you off to other planets/locations.
+ Near 'miraculous' art direction. All the worlds create a cohesive looking universe, but are never derivative or repetitive.
+ Sharper cinematics. Snappier editing, restless camera movement.
+ Memorable, well written and deep characters (a career best for Bioware).
- Repercussions of choices made in the first game aren't as keenly felt as they'd have liked
10/10
Also I would like to say thanks to Shepleklet for giving some information about this game as I know nothing about it

I honestly do that every time I go to type your name, it's a force of habbit XD
Well thats a bit of a fail. If any game should have a 10/10 its uncharted 2.
Hold on. Are you honestly saying that, since Uncharted 2 didn't get 10/10, Mass Effect 2 is a failure? That is just what I thought you meant, apologies if I mis-interpreted what you said.
I'm not surprised that Mass Effect has been given this honor. BioWare has always been a great developer in my opinion, going all the way back to the hit Knights of the Old Republic. Mass Effect [1] was by all means a great title, and it's predecessor appears to be even better based on both news and this review.
As for the statement concerning Uncharted 2 above me:
I don't think he meant that Mass Effect 2 is a failure. Merely I think he believes that Uncharted 2 deserves a 10/10 rather than Mass Effect 2. While I can see that many people are strongly behind Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2 is definitely deserving. Uncharted 2 is also a fantastic title, but when put up alongside a game like Mass Effect, there really is no contest [in my opinion].
