Since I already own 2 ps3s, should I just sell the ylod one or would it be worth the repair due to its age and its chances of being on a 3.55 ofw and lower.

No point in getting it fixed, people are selling there PS3s for like £80 now, if you can find someone who can do it for cheap then go for it, but otherwise there is really no point.
