Cant you put the recent update on your usb then update with that?

just download the latest firmware from the sony website and update!

if you used the 3.55 downgrader, once back on 3.55 open multiman, goto file manager/mmOS then ps3 root then usb000
make sure you cex-flash is on usb and double click it once back on cex update to the latest ofw.

Just keep it jailbroke you can always unban it if you get banned which is pretty rare with PSNPATCH or PSNOPE
