(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so I repaired my 60gb PS3 as it has a Blu ray drive malfunction. Someone had stuck an SD card in the drive which made the whole thing seize up. Anyway I later fixed the issue but the console now doesn't suck disks in properly, you have to aid any disk put into the machine. Once anything goes in their it all reads and loads fine. Weird thing is yesterday I went to put Cod Ghosts in the PS3 (I also noticed it was a thinner disc than all my other ones, maybe a newer style?) and it took the disc but the blue light didn't go on and it read nothing. I ejected it and put Fifa 14 in straight away which has a thicker disc than Ghosts and it read it fine. What the hell is the issue, does anyone know how to make the sucking mechanism work properly again? Any help would be deeply appreciated, I've searched the internet but found no problems similar to mine.

I've had this problem before I don't know what it is either. Mostly likely the blue ray player getting jammed up somewhere.

Yea, it's really annoying, I'd like to find a solution to fix it. Sometimes I forget about aiding the disc and the game gets stuck causing it to get scratched.

It's not a software issue. I used to have 3.55 Kmeaw on it and it did the same thing. One time it didn't take the disc properly and when I opened the console up to retrieve it one side of the disc was heavily scratched. I'm surprised it still works. The sucker mechanism on the console is really weak to the point were it gives up taking in the disc and that's were my hand comes in to actually push the disc in. It could be something not seated correctly on the drive but there is so many gears and components that I don't know were to look. I did spray lubrication on vital parts of the gears and pushers on the drive when it was opened. That couldn't have stuffed anything up because I did that same thing to a mates PS3 slim which had Blue ray errors and it fixed it up. If anyone's got any suggestions or ideas please post!
