My PS3 (FAT) is currently overheating CPU the GPU isn't.. but the fact of the matter it is overheating and i've already changed the thermal paste the cpu still runs at 85C while the GPU stays low. The problem now is i have 2 options.

Option 1: I met this guy that does PS3 repair services on facebook like a year ago but i never had a repair from him others have and he offered to fix my ps3 with a lifetime warranty (on overheating issues only) for only $55 and it will be done within a day and should be good for up to 1 year then may need another repair (Note my ps3 has NOT gotten the YLOD.)

Option 2: Get other ps3 that is at least older than 2011 and pay another person that i have to find to downgrade my ps3 back to 3.55 because i only want a ps3 that has custom firmware. Cost for that could be $100 to 150 for ps3 and $30 to 50 for the downgrade. note: when someone downgrades your ps3 they have to take the entire thing apart just to do so.
With all of this being said what would you do if you were me when it comes to this ps3? Everyone that see's this that is on my friends list please give me a response thank you.

Option 2: If you Pay People Downgrade Make Sure Its A Trusted Website
I recommend Option 2
