Is there any way to speed up downloads on the PS3?

I just bought BF4 from the PS Store and it is going to take a while to download. It is 10GB

I am using WiFi by the way

Oh is that the only way? What if I have my PS3 wired to my Laptop, like shared connection. Would that Work?

Mainly depends on your bandwidth speed you bought and can vary as they will be connected to various other media types (computers, phones, iPad, etc.) in your house, however it can also be increased by either using a Ethernet cable to get a better connection between PS3 and the router if not close already using Wi-Fi (Not Strong Strength). Moreover, I think u can adjust the Internet settings for the Proxy server or DNS to speed up downloads.

I do not know much about changing the proxy server or DNS numbers, so I wont requesting asking me, futhermore other answers may be better instructed on how to improve this.

Yea that will work I did that for GTA V when it first released. At first I used WiFi on the midnight release to download the game. I downloaded the game all night and day and waited till I got out of school to play it. But when I came home it was only 26% done. So I deleted the download and tried it again by connecting the Ethernet cord to my laptop and PS3 and downloaded it again. And it only took 2-3 hours to download. GTA is a 17.9 GB file BTW.
