My ps3 is a CECHA01 (NAND) the only things i have are "20090317-220717-FLASH-NAND-FW4.21.NANDBIN", "CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN" and "eid_root_key.bin". But I can't patch it with the 'PS3 Nor and Nand Auto Patcher 0.04', it tells me 'This is an Unknown Flash Type or a Bad File Detected' So I dont know if the patcher is just not able to patch my nand dump or if it's just a bad dumb. I tried patching my other ps3 NOR dump with the same program and it worked. So is the pprogram is compatible? Is my dumb is bricked? If so can I fix it with something like 'FlowRebuilder_v.4.2.3.0' by extracting my dumb content? ..

i highly doubt someone would let you use their dump. The best i can suggest you to do is buy an e3 flasher and follow the tut you linked.

ive done some research and using someone else's dump woudn't work, the syscon of my ps3 wouldn't be able to compare the keys with the ones in the otherperson's dump. Btw I edited my thread and added more informations; i've found an old dump of my bricked ps3 but it may be corrupted (im not sure) because when i try to patch it with the 'PS3 Nor and Nand Auto Patcher 0.04', it gives me this error: 'This is an Unknown Flash Type or a Bad File Detected'. And this is my only problem when i follow the tutorial because i have all the other things needed. So I dont know if the patcher cant just patch my dump because its a nand dump or because it may be corrupted. So is there's any way to know if it's corrupted or not? can i patch it manually (without a risk of bricking my ps3 with the E3 flasher with a corrupted patched dump?

rename the CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN to dump.BIN (or just change the extension to BIN) and there is your working CEX dump. Also if you can't turn on your ps3, if it shuts off by it self you will need to solder a wire from the nor tristate to gnd to force your ps3 to stay on.

Note: after you rename the file check it with different dump checkers, go to the wiki or ps3hax.net for those.

Alot of dump checkers are telling me the size of my dump is too big so they only work for NOR dumps (beacause my dump size is bigger because i got a CECHA01 and im nand). So i used a nand checker and it gives me this result: You must login or register to view this content.
should i use it or not? beacause i see alot of problems with it. (my CID is hidden dont worry) so what should i do if you tell me that i wont be able to use thid dump?
