To get the best speed, you need to be close to your router. The farther you are, the lower your internet speed will be.

No I mean by using wire do you no which is best cable type like there's a lot of types there's cat 5 cat 6 cat 7 .etc

I would go with the Cat5e or the Cat 6. Make sure you get longer than you need just in case.

I never knew that different cables made a difference honestly. The distance is really the only thing that impacts the connection speed.

To be honest different cables won't make much of a difference for your speeds, it matters on your net.

The type of cables do not change the speeds of the internet connection. It only changes the length and is made out of a different material. Like one of the above users already said it is really the distance from you modem and how many people are connected to the network what will change the speeds.
