I put it back together the best I could, and the ps3 runs fine. Will having the ps3 on without most of the screws damage the ps3? Are there things I should look out for? Can this damage the ps3?

Well obviously this isn't an ideal situation i wouldn't worry too much as long as you don't move it around too much

Depends what screws you lost.. If it was the screws for the heat sinks your screwed. You don't need very many screws for your ps3 to work and if its working your fine Smile

The whole thing is held together by a lot of mechanical retention anyways..It may allow the board to warp even more than designed if you don't screw the board down. Could be good or bad..

As long as it is together and you have the clamps on, its fine..I don't normally reinstall all the screws in my ps3s. It's inconvenient when you take them apart every once in a while.

I'm closing this now as it's almost a year old and the user seems to have gotten some nice solid answers.
