Im just going to assume its a sign that the drive is fixing to go out, mine does the same thing

What were you doing prior to this happening?

If your disc is stuck in the console:

Fat
1. Turn the console off
2. Flip the power switch off
3. Hold eject and flip the power switch on (continue to hold until console is on)
The console will turn on with the fan running at max, spit the disc out, and then turn itself off.
4. Flip the power switch off


Slim
1. Turn the console off
2. Unplug the power cable
3. Hold eject and plug the power cable in (continue to hold until console is on)
The console will turn on with the fan running at max, spit the disc out, and then turn itself off.

See if you can get it to read a dvd/cd. If it reads a dvd/cd and not a bluray, then your laser is shot and will need replaced.
If it doesn't read anything, then you don't have a matching logic board (probably not this situation if you were playing it before)

It might also be possible for some incompatible software to cause this..but im not sure about that.

May, I ask which type of PS3 it is: Phat, Slim, Super Slim... since there is different troubleshooting methods in order to eject a disc. Also, did this problem just occur of was your Blu Ray Drive always acting up?

Hi thanks for the help but it doesn't show any game on the screen and it's a fat PS3 I just keep pressing eject and it beeps

In conclusion the disk reader is broken. You will need to buy a new one. If you have any other questions feel free to make another thread.
