no i changed the ps3 hardrive because i could not get passed rsod, that did not work so i changed it back now i get - the system software could not be run correctly press the ps button to try restart. the funny thing is i fixed this with an ofw update on a ofw ps3, wont work on my jailbroken one.

i have rsod to, how to fix, 1. you need to install a 4.XX rsod bypass cfw if cex 4.76 ferrox will do if dex you well need to use mfw master builder 2.1 to get past it, then install the RSOD fix pkg, once ps3 reboots look at your trophies if it does not let you view them you will need to take out your hdd and put a spare hdd into your ps3 and install cfw onto it then go it should work Smile upon success simply put your original hard drive back in and install the cfw you wish to be on and it will work 100% i have had to fix my ps3 for RSOD every time i bricked it trying something, 4 times lol haha anyways

try this next time let me know how it goes: Hello every one i have a fully working red screen of death and no applicable update data found fix and a ps3 boot loop fix mainly for cex and dex and i want it out there because another guy has the same idea as me on console crunch but i found this method completely on my own after getting out of a boot loop all by my self, and i know something he dont, i ran my tests furthure and found that when you use my method you get stuck on the cfw you use it on.

this is the method and full tutorial but my boot loop fix was trashed by nextgenupdate:

OK this is going to sound stupid but just try this, first to fix the red screen of death turn of your ps3 then take out the internal hdd, then turn on the ps3 without the hdd, you will get a messege system software could not be run correctly. second to fix no applicable update data found download the last cfw you were on before you got the rsod, i dont know if it has to be a downgrader or not but if you were on rebug 3.55 then you have to download and install that if you were on dex 3.55 then install that, if it wont work try to download the exact cfw you were on, so if you were on rebug 4.70 then try that, i cannot stress how much that it needs to be the exact cfw you were on and thats the reason why everyone is getting the no applicable update data was found, the red screen of death blocks all cfws all accept one witch is the one you had on last. please give me a thumbs up if this was helpful.

i have a similar work around for ps3 stuck in boot loop look me up, im not a techie but just check my other posts.

i forgot to mention that you might get stuck on the firmware that you get back into because i get an error when trying to change cfw and havent tested it yet because im writing this because im happy to have it fixed.

UPDATE: this is now a full fix you have to update to higher firmware of the same sort so if you are stuck on dex after doing the above then udate to d-rex, and if on cex then update to rex then you can downrade and from there go to any cfw you want and wont be stuck or limited any more i think this gives you a fresh install. thumbs up if it works i just want to know how many people has the same problem.

i was wandering if my boot loop fix was trashed by nextgenupdate is there a way to retrieve it because i forgot what to do, i found it when i kept getting a black screen from artemis and the only way to get back to the xmb was to hold the power button to completly power off my ps3, then i get the restore data base or file system boot loop thats when i boot into safe mode do an update whith the same cfw im on and then it says the data is corrupted then thats when you press circle to cancel it and it kicks you back to xmb.

thats my proof that i found this on my own and how to get out of a ps3 rebuild data base loop or whatever its called.

thanks for reading bye.

Imma try your way need time I unbrick my ps3 though not likely it will work for me cause its pretty much same as swapping the HDD before making the nor fix but who knows I'll try it and see if it works the same or better then the method I use.

mine is only 4 steps for rsod, step 1: turn off your ps3. step 2: take out the hdd. step 3: turn on ps3 without hdd you will get the system software could not be run correctly error, step 4: put hdd back in and thats it, done without any software or extra hdd. the rest is just how to get out of no applicable update data found witch is use same cfw.
