more than likely it, if u have both of them it would hurt ti give it a shot

20xxx series will not fit in 25xxx series.

The fan location is slightly off(wouldn't fit in the case)
Also the metal plates are different,
Also the disc drive plugs/layout are different

Trying messed up motherboard and was wondering if the board from the other one will fit in the ps3 all I got is a motherboard and blueray that's why I was asking if I can just swap out the boards but if not I guess back to the drawing board lol

You may be able to get the ps3 to work and run, but i don't think it will fit in the case..

It will run with top metal plate, clamps, and heatsinks/fan on, and power button connected etc.. the plastic case is not necessarily needed..

If it were me I would just go buy some material and make my own case..but thats just me.
or buy some cheap original case off ebay or something..

I have done this before, it will fit however, the screw for the blu ray drive will not line up.
