(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); this was happening a few days ago, then i swapped out the bit where you plug the power cable in and it worked for a day without shutting off and flashing. now its back and i can't turn on my ps3 with my controller anymore for some reason. anyone know how i can fix this? when it randomly shuts off i have to unplug it to stop the flashing to turn the ps3 back on again. it mostly turns off and blinks straight after i exit rebug tool box.

Oh yea i took apart my whole slim ps3, is it weird that i don't have a e3 flasher? it's jailbroken.

It is not weird to not have an e3 flasher installed. You don't have to unless you are dual booting or something i think..Otherwise it is install, flash, remove.


So your console is no longer powering up or will it power up?

Is it only happening when using a certain homebrew or is it shutting off randomly at any given moment? (let it sit, does it shut off?)


You are running either an incompatible software/homebrew or the console is/has overheated.

If you suspect it is a software/homebrew, you can try to reinstall the homebrew. Or, you may be on a lower firmware and need to be on something more recent..

If your console is overheating, be wise when running the console. You can change your thermal paste and hope for the best. If that does not help, the ps3 will need a reflow, a reball, or to be replaced...

I think it may be the Yellow Light of Death (YLOD). This happens a lot with the older consoles...I suggest replacing thermal paste as Dro said.
