I put gta bk in console expecting it to reinstall the game. I start gta from xmb menu then 6sec later it brings me back to xmb menu saying "game quit no request event". Somebody told me to format my ps3 but i dont exactly know how to without a pc &usb on myside

You don't Have to Delete everything on your PS3 just The whole game. Then reinstall it and Try it Also if does not work And you still want to Factory erase Everything on PS3 go To safe mode or Settings you should find them useful lol

I'd go with the above too.... It's only the game data you've corrupted not the entire HDD so you would get away with just re-installing the game.
