(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So as the video shows, once I plug it into any outlet in the house- obviously an outlet that is fully functional- it'll have the red light, and I press the power on button, and it beeps, then shuts off permanently. Once I re-plug it back into the wall, same scenario. Wtf is wrong with it?

(I have an edited video that should be up and running shortly that gives it more light.)

I would try to leave it out in the open for a bit too call down, most things turn off automatically due to overheating.

It's been off for several hours. Just tried turning it on after about 6 hours of it off. :fa:

Then i would suggest re-applying thermal paste Smile

I'm going to go buy another AC power cord. Do you think it could be that?

Its got nothing to do with the heat or cord. Its a hardware problem, open up the ps3 and look for broken wires etc.

Just got back from Gamestop, and it's not the power supply. :megusta:
I'm going to pop it open and see what I got.

I actually had the same problem and it was the cord connected to the fan actually came off the motherboard. So I ended up trying to solder the cord to the circle point underneath where it connects and fucked it up even more.

Ended up getting a new ps3.

Took it apart, and it was very clean, considering it is a downgraded system. I took apart the wiring inside, and re-attached it. It now comes on...Weird man. Somehow, I assume, the wiring cables inside were loosened.

Thats awesome to hear man, I knew it was a hardware problem as I have had this problem before which caused me to get a new ps3.
