(even if it's rigged all to ****) i mean they put a ram chip on the board in the first place. if a chip can go on can't it come back off or???? and if it can come off why wouldn't it go back on? and would the ps3 benefit from more ram?*

I don't think it's possible. If it was everyone would be upgrading their ram

idk? like computers have motherboards.. and you CAN upgrade the ram in a computer.. because the computers manufacturer made it pretty i guess easy? to do so. because it's a NO SOLDER INSTALL. <what makes it easy. a ps3 has a motherboard but sony didn't give that "easy" no solder option. maybe why it's not popular to do? and your average Joe isn't gonna buy a ps3 rip it apart and take a solder gun to it. unless the ram is literately locked to ps3 systems but then just solder two chips together?.. and also theres so many different ram chips. just go to eBay.... not one single one will work? maybe it is impossible. BUT MAYBE? it's only impossible because no1 has tried yet?
