Post: PS3 doensn't connect to PSN

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys! So my console has been acting very strangely. Yesterday I turned it on and I had to reconfigure everything like the hour, the wireless connection, those things almost like the first time turning a brand new console on. And I don't know why! After that, all my users have a * before their name because they have been "backd'up".

The awkward thing is that when I did my connection test, that PSN Connection test didn't even show up. The only tests made were the IP and the internet connection. I have no clue on what to do. Should I format the HDD?? Have I been MAC-blocked or something?? Thanks in advance!

Maybe just a hard drive failure. If your console is a normal console, then sure that the login details for the accounts are correct, and that your internet settings for your actual router agree with the psn servers. If your console is not a typical console, then make sure you are not banned from psn. You could try to change your idps, psid, mac, and ip address.

if you backed up your users you'll have to enter the login info again so the "PSN connection" Test shows up. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Ok guys, I didn't backup the users. It was automatic. The HDD is new, only bought it a couple months back (upgraded to an SSD). The problem is that it seems like I just can't connect to Sony's server at all. Even though the users were backdup, the psn accounts weren't saved back. So it asks me to sign up. When I enter to sign up, it just doesnt load the contract assignment thing (i dont know how its called) and it just stays there, with the blue background. And I'm running Rebug 7.80 CEX BTW

If you're on CEX you might have to spoof (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Climbing up the ladder
it would be best to update to 4.80 rebug. since it has a built in spoof. Plus its on latest FW. But just click sign in with existing user if you know your info. But make sure your successfully connected to the internet first. Test your connection under internet connection test and make sure both ip and internet succeed

EDIT: Please right click the images to open them in a new tab in order to see them because Google Drive doensn't support previews here, thank you for understanding Smile

Ok guys you're not getting my point! Let me explain the situation by images:

Firstly, mb I'm on REBUG 4.80 (not 7.80, obviously a typo :P), completely up to date, no spoof needed.

You must login or register to view this content.

2nd, my xmb looks like this:

You must login or register to view this content.

Everything pretty normal, until this part. Now, whenever I try to log in, the following happens:

You must login or register to view this content.

So, the usual image in the background doesn't load, it just appears that blue background.
When I go to "Use an Existing Account", the selection flashes untill the following error appears:

You must login or register to view this content.

So, no connection to Sony servers. Nice! Now the most awkward thing is that whenever I do the internet test, the PSN Connection tab doesn't even show up.

You must login or register to view this content.

I highly doubt it is CID Ban. That's why I'm asking for help :( Thanks for all the feedback though Smile

Not MAC adress. Already tried changing it and it's a no-go. CID and PSID are new, only bought them a few months back and I have 2 unbanned, already tried both and still the same problem. Maybe IP?? Gotta try!

Ok looks like I solved my problem. It was a debugging option called NP Environment that was not correct. just changed it to np and everything was just back to normal. But thank you guys for all the support and feedback!
