The Ethernet cable works from router to laptop, so I'm guessing there is a setting I'm overlooking to get it to connect properly. I've shared to connection and still nothing. Any help and ideas would be great. Thanks.

you don't need to connect your laptop to your PS3 to make tool faster you could just use TMAPI.

Yes, as Essencial said, you don't need cords to make tools faster. TMAPI works best. CCAPI is good, but slower than tmapi. hopefully Essencial answered your question.

The question now is how to I set up tmapi? I have it downloaded already to my laptop but no success connecting.
