Post: what happened to ps3

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so i was randomly playing a game on ps3 and suddenly it went black screen and a screen pop up saying connect your controller using a usb cable and press the ps button and i think these was 2 options either ps button or reinstall firmware using a usb i clicked ps button so my ps3 was restarted and everything went back to normal i just want to know what happened cause i had that thing pop up 2 times during the nine months

Could be a sign of early hard drive failure.

Is there anyway I can fix or I mean it happened two times I press the ps button to restart the PS3 everything went back to normal

theres 2 things i know that can cause this, one is controlconsole manager, in rare cases it will mess up and you will have to reinstall firmware but thats really rare and other then that could be a hardware failure such as hdd
but its hard to say. if you have a cfw then try re-install the console update etc, if that doesn't work try a different harddrive that is laying around that might work.

yeh im on rebug cfw and the control console manager? can i just click the app to uninstall it and then click it to install it again or i have to reinstall the entire firmware and i dont have another hdd laying around

just downgrade to say 3.XX or 4.XX then reistall what you had and launch control console and if that doesn't fix it then try a different harddrive, i recommend going to 3.55 when swapping hdd as some changes of console settings can cause console to have trouble reconizing update as its not QA toggled on other hdd

Your hard drive could have some bad sectors ... might be worth checking that out

how am i suppose to check it out i just good at play the ps3 lol
