you need one that works on your router, for me mine is the same as my router gateway but for others its different, setting it to auto should work, if its you dns it will say you have a dns error, restarting your router will normally fix this error, but other times you router dns may not support the ps3 so in that case you need to ether A. manually set it or B. use a VPN to get online.

i have a terrible connection, an example of this is i have thousands of network errors listed on my ps4 mostly dns and disconnection errors that i have to for ever fix because i have really slow internet that forever drops out. please quote this and tell me the error you get with everything set to automatic. thanks. and also i want to know the error code so i can help you further if problem persist
