Try this:


1. On the XMB, go to game data utility folder
2. Delete any god of war ascension files there
3. Restart god of war ascension, the game should ask to reinstall the updates you deleted.

When you install updates, you get a new eboot as well (in some/most cases), and it should be good to go.
