Multiman might be messed up or the disk has a scratch in it. can you play the game without installing it? if you can i would try to reinstall Multiman.

do you have the latest multiman installed? because i remember i had that problem with one of the earlier versions of multiman....you could try using gaia manager as well, i find that it sometimes works better than multiman

Try updating multiman to the latest version.

Or just use OpenPS3FTP, it's pretty damn stable!
