So im think about going to my local game shop and trading in my ps3 250gb slimline and getting a 60gb fat ps3 on old firmware and then jailbreaking that. But i still want to play online with my friends and still host so can i do this if so how and what will i need apartt from the 3.55 ofw 3.55cfw and ftp, filezilla what else will i need.

at the moment you can not play online on cfw. but with the new developments on qa flagging it may soon be possible

Currently, you'd need both PS3s to play online and enjoy homebrew & modded patches etc. This would be achieved through data transferring from the CFW PS3 to the OFW.

Oh and I say currently, because some interesting developments have been made in the QA flagging side of things
