there downgradeing so they can jailbreak there ps3 and u have to data transfer you mw2 patch from you ps3 with cfw to ur ps3 on fw 3.70 and your welcome and ur not too nooby u asked better then alot of other people would have.

The point of downgrading is the answer to the rest of your question. it allows you to go to a lower firmware say 3.55 were you can run unsigned codes. Then put your mw2 patches you downgrade cause there no way you can run unsigned codes with your current version unless you find your own exploit.

Having a ps3 on firmware 3.55 cfw is great. Its much better to have two ps3s tho. One on 3.70 so you can go online, and one on 3.55 cfw.

Just Buy a 3.55 ps3 and stop crying over a 3.70 jailbreak. Tell Mommy or daddy too give u $$ too buy 1!

Nobody is downgrading except for a few guys because you need to solder the dumb and a lot of ppl still host CLs because they have 2 ps3s
