I currently am on a PS3 Slim with latest OFW (no JB or anything) and I was wondering if save exploits were still possible on the latest firmware. I wanted to use an advanced save on Disgaea 3 since I played the game before the trophy patch and fiddled around with it after the patch but sold my PS3 that had the old save. The game sits on my profile @ a low percentage so I wanted to replay the game without regrinding everything. Does anyone know if this is still possible?

I've seen people who have unlocked games like FUEL and SOCOM with save exploits (I am assuming since the time stamps for the trophies are the same) and I was sure they weren't using modded PS3s.

as long as it has no save encryption you can use them most newer games use it but then again some dont

Usually when you other saves though it disables the trophies. I mainly just want the trophies.

thats because its got a file encryption on it like fallout new vegas does or fallout 3

Well there is a guide on this site on how to use someone else's advanced save file and make it your own to get the trophies on Disgaea 3 but it was written in 2010. I was just wondering if it still works or if the newer OFW from Sony may have fixed the loopholes in this system...

It's just a matter of using a USB stick but I want to make sure you can still do it. Like if Sony's OFW makes it so you cannot earn trophies this way anymore or if the Disgaea 3 game itself was updated with a patch to prevent this from happening.

it is not the firmware its the save file encryption ive said this like 3 times and the way its saved it locks it to your account so it only works through ftp so your original question no most games cant be modded through saves for trophies

I think people do hacked trophies for you in the auctions. You need 100 posts to trade, though.
