I turned it of and back on but its just a black screen, and the when i hit the power button it doesn't shut down it stay green. I have to unplug my power cord to turn it off now. So i tried to put it in recovery mode and still just a black screen. Does anyone no what happened? And can it be fixed? I wanna use it again! :FU:

right 1st of what cfw did u install and what ever firmware u did do u have bricked ur ps3 by the sounds of it

Try this.

Download Official PS3 firmware (3.55 or 3.41 in here) You must login or register to view this content.

Then enter safe mode on your PS3. -- Turn off your PS3 -- Hold down the power on/off button untill it turns off again -- Hold down the power on/off button untill you hear 1 beep followed by 2 others -- After the 2 (3 beeps), let it go, and wait for it to boot the safe mode.

Once in safe mode, plug in your USB, which I assume you have your official firmware in. In the USB it should look like this: (root) --PS3 (folder) -- UPDATE (folder) -- PS3UPDAT.PUP (file). Then install the firmware.

let me guess, did you install a fake 3.72 cfw?

Nope i didnt i had my cfw ps3 3.55 origanal i had geohot but wanted to change it i installed the original one and the i installed the elite cfw 2.5 and now it stopped working.

Safe mode doesnt even work anymore

try downloading the 3.55 lv2 and lv1. Place the Lv1 and 3.55 ofw in USB, put in ps3 and press start + eject

Isn't reflowing it with thermal paste your best option right now? I've did it once to mine, but my YLOD occured while turning my PS3 on, after a gaming session the previous day.
