there is a way of downgrading but your taking a big risk of brick most brick have been caused of downgrading. so i have 2 ps3 a 80gb 1st gen Ps3 3.55 jb and i have a 250gb ps3 slim so i would get a used ps3 but get the ps3 off craigslist cause gamestop is a rip off. your welcome plz +rep if this helped

I think there are working on a jailbreak for 3.72 so i think you should wait a while so you wont waste your money buying another ps3 or ****ing up urs

Regardless of your situation, you could have searched all this.

You can downgrade via ProgSkeet, E3 Flasher, etc. Those are ~$100.
You cannot jailbreak a 3.72 PS3 unless you are a 1337 h4x0r.
Buying a new PS3 on or under 3.55 is always an option. Money and "is it worth it?" is the question.
