Well right now there is no easy and solderless method. You are going to have to open your PS3 up and install hardware in order to get it to downgrade. You really shoulda kept your old PS3, as there probably won't be a new custom firmware out at all.

There is no downgrade past 3.55 If you find one, its most likely a scam. Devs won't release anything past 3.55 because they don't want to get entwined with legal issues.
Or do a "hardmod" which requires opening up your PS3 and soldering.

Okay, Well I guess I will have to solder and stuff. But yeah I guess I should have kept it. So how hard would you say it is to mod so I can downgrade? If it aint too hard I will give it a try.

From what I've heard it's not for noobs, but isn't as difficult as it seems. The hardest part is you need to purchase hardware from a website that costs around $80. Here's a link to their page You must login or register to view this content.

Might I offer a differing option.

You will need a E3 flasher or you will need a progskeet. Not sure will you can buy them. But you have to open your console to use them and downgrade.
