PSN games are in .pkg format so all you have to do is extract it and you would see all the files. That way you wouldnt have to transfer. And Blac Ops still wont be hacked if you do that BTW.

I don't think you even remotely answered his question..
"transfer it back on a ofw 3.72 and play it"

He's asking about data transferring PSN games afaik

I have seen hacks using button bind and from what I have read you need to put a cfg in your backup of game, now if I transfer the download to my 3.55 I will then have access to the files, I guess it would be like modding the game disc, now with that modded would you then be able to put that back on a 3.72 through data transfer and play online ? or would I get errors like missing files or sync problems, like when you mod an update?

Okay i download full game from psn on my 3.72 black ops. Now I data transfer to my 3.55, I now have a bought psn game on a 3.55 that I can mod. then I put it back on my 3.72 modded. it would be like running a modded back up on a 3.72 right. The 3.72 would recognize it because of the actkeys right? Now will I be able to play online with it?

no not pirate games I pay for them LIKE I SAID IF I BOUGHT a full game I have two copies of the game and was thinking about buying the downloaded one from psn so I can play it like a back up online. Man I have so much money in map packs and downloads don't even come at me with the pirate crap! and besides you have to have the rif files to use reactpsn
