And didn't know the significane of a 3.55 jailbroken ps3 :n: I've checked on craigslist with no luck. Money's really not much of an issue unless it's an outrageous price. Any help would be wonderful!

Well the only thing is finding someone with a ps3 3.55 .

try fleabay,or downgrade with e flasher.

I thought all "newer" ps3's came with retail 3.66 though? But I live in a small town so I guess maybe they might have 3.55 or lower at gamestop. And trust me, me and my cousin aren't talking at all ATM.

Killzone 3 Bundle comes with 3.50, any new CECH2501a and under. gamestop, pawnshop, ebay, craigs list, etc

With an e3 flasher on FAT consoles you have to solder and I am awful at that and aside from that I'd need to consoles anyways to get online. Wouldn't I?

When my 3.55 got updated, here's what I did:

1. Go to the nearest gamestop.
2. Ask them for the oldest used PS3 they have in stock.
3. Have them check the firmware for you, if you ask they will and for me they did it right infront of me. If it's 3.55 or lower buy it.

The very first ps3 they checked was a 250gb slim, it ended up being on 3.41 firmware and I bought it The only downside to this is you have to pay $250-300 to get your ps3, but like you said money is not a problem

Best place to look, if Craigslist doesn't have anything, would be EBAY. Someone, SOMEWHERE, is selling one. And buying a newer one usually comes with retail 3.66 but you may get lucky and find a used one still on 3.55. Also, they have two different E3 flashers. One is solder and the other is solder-less. And no, you don't NEED two PS3's to get online. Only one, especially if your already on 4.00. The jailbroken one can't get online if you didn't know that. You can data transfer to the OFW 4.00 PS3 and play online with whatever files were modded on the JB PS3 but depending on the game, you could get banned.

**EDIT** Also, MW3 and BF3 are teamed with SONY atm and are cracking down on modded lobbies, files, etc. So you are at a definite risk of being banned because they are banning the PS Mac Address and your IP.
