Must I just copy it over? Do you need to make a backup of the original or of the eboot?

Tnx.

Make a backup of the game, and replace the eboot.dat file in the 'data' folder (I believe thats where it is, just where ever it is). Replace that and run the game. You replace the file in the backup, not disc or installation data, of course. Also most games must be run off the internal hard drive.

So to answer your question, yes copy over it, and I do recommend keeping the original eboot (rename it to ebootORIG or something)

Ah yes, userdir. Just rename the original to something else such as "ebootBACKUP.dat" or "eboot.backup", then copy in the patched eboot.
You can leave it in the folder and just rename it.

Thanks but I still get the error 80010007. I heard that has something to do with the eboot.
I am running assassins creed revelations.
I got 2 patched true blue games and both of them got no backup.

Edit: I got it! Mayby I found a good fix this time.
