My friend had this problem i asked him how he fixed it and he said he formated the harddrive with hes computer and it worked.

i think you need a sata cable and Easeus partition manager google them up, you have to also get your hard drive out of your ps3, but im sure there was a way to get your ps3 to format the hard drive on its own...
