(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I got a new hard drive for my ps3 thats 3.55 and has no bluray player so when i turn it on and put it in recovery mode it gives me 6 options i chose the 6th one(systme update) and it just keeps saying checking please wait but never finds anything it just constantly says checking so does any one have a solution or tutorial to help

first what are you trying to do?? if you want to update you need to get a usb with this directory PS3/UPDATE . than you plug your usb in the usb port of your ps3 and choose sytem update on the recovery screen and it will update (to your prefered FW)

What CFW are you putting?

uhm if you want to host CL's by data transfer you need 2 ps3's 1 jailbroken and 1 not. The 3.55 HDD needs to be in the jailbroken ps3 and has to be the one that used to be in the PS3 and it will need to have a modified patch from the game you want to host cl's. then you do the data transfer method and you got your modified game data on the other PS3

i have 2 ps3s one on 4.00 one is on 3.55 but got a new hard drive thats 250gb and i dont have blu ray player so i need a certian 3.55 firmware but cant find it
