I think this for the question section? Since its not really an exploit or hack, but anyways imo couldn't you just change it to a different 3.55 cfw, like geohot's jb or any other cfw?

Well that's what I've been told, but you may want to check with others on that just in case... I don't want you coming back after you tried and saying something like "you lied!" or etc... I would quote it, but I done forgot where i heard that you can do that, and I can't test it out myself since both of my PS3s are higher than 3.55 :/ but I plan to sell 1 of them so I can get the a 3.55 PS3

From your post it sounds like your new to the whole jailbreaking scene (forgive my bluntness but it just sounds nooby so to speak) but i wouldn't worry too much bro as it doesnt sound like much of a problem. I personally prefer Filezilla & multiman then comgenie so theres certainly more options for you like blackbox - dragon ftp. Changing firmwares is simple enough if theres ever compatibility issues as well.
