I'm not new to modding consols, but i used to do it on a xbox. i have renently seen the light and moved over to PS3 and was wondering what would be the best way to start messing wid the PS3 so i could play backedup games or modded games?

First of all, you need a ps3 on 3.55 FW or lower so you can jailbreak it, or install CFW (custom firmware) on it.

Tell me on which firmware you are if you are above firmware 3.55 you need to buy a flasher to downgrade and buy another ps3 to be able to play online.
So let's say you have one 3.55 PS3 With CFW and one 4.10 OFW ps3, you need to data transfer.
