I asked my mom and she said that it means that I can't insert disks inside the ps3 so im happy!!

And I'd only be using it to hack not play any games on disk or anything like that just using multiman and the other stuff for hacking only.
Btw I have another ps3 im just using this for hacking like transfering.

As long as it has a working logic board it will be fine.

Well if you aren't after disc play at all or playing backups, Gizmo is correct. It will suit your needs if that is all you are after.

thanks and so basically if it does have a working logic board I can use it for hacking like only programs like multiman,awesome file manag,etc and transfering it to my ps3 4.11 that would work sense im not using disks?

Yep, I have a ps3 running on Geohot with a broken blu ray, I unplugged it and just left the logic board and it works fine
