Post: Very important can i do the update ?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i was just messing around and i decided that i should try to download the 3.55 kmeaw cwf from the Nextgenupdate Sticky and i downloaded it
and put it on my USB PS3 UPDATE folder and i got it on my ps3 on my fw 4.10 and i clicked system update, update via storage Media and it found the cwf 3.55 kmeaw on my fw 4.10 should i update or will this brick my ps3 or i need any advice

It's called 3.55 CFW for a reason, it will brick your ps3 if you install it on any firmware that's above 3.55.

It will probably just say something like its a lower cfw or that you already have the highest fw installed , i dont think it will actually let you download it...

I don't think anybody in the right mind would even attempt to do this, and if it did work, I think it would be well-known by now. So no, don't update.

i don't know if anyone has tried this cuz they worry if the ps3 is gonna brick or?
and im gonna tell this to my dumbass friend ass see what happens lol maybe it works maybe not

Don't listen to anyone above.

Your PS3 will not BRICK or anything but indeed you will face an error code for the simple fact of you not been able to downgrade.
At some sort of stage 0-100% you will face an error indicating its not a valid file basically most people achieve the error at around 14% some face it at 80%.

Well my friend tried this, and his ps3 got stuck in a loop, which then he had no choice but to turn it off, which caused it to brick.. But he tried it with geohot's CFW.

but to be sure im gonna let my dumbass friend try this first im currently talking to him how to do this lol
