I think the ps3 firmware is stored on the NAND/NOR, the only way really is to buy a mod chip (E3 flasher/Progskeet) or just fix your YLOD 3.55 ps3, there a loads of tut's on how to fix and it's not that hard.

thing is ive opend it alll up and fuked about lost screws and stuff so going 2 b hard 2 put back 2gether plus i dont even no if i fixed it cause it dnt turn on
